Scope
Salt is more than just a property development—it’s a cultural intervention. Located in Cape Town’s Salt River district, this mixed-use development was designed to bring together work, life, creativity, and community under one sharply contemporary roof. Sorted Design International was tasked with creating a bold, future-facing brand that could reflect both the grit and the growth of the area. The name “Salt” draws directly from its location and industrial past, but the brand identity pushes firmly into what’s next: clean lines, stark contrasts, and a colour palette that sits somewhere between construction material and gallery wall. We developed a striking logotype and visual system to stretch across architectural wraps, signage, leasing packs, and digital media. “Salt doesn’t try to sweeten the city. It builds on what’s raw, real, and ready.” The result is a brand that reflects both place and ambition—designed to attract tenants, creatives, and forward-looking businesses who see opportunity where others see edge.
